Outdoors
Camping, fishing, kayaking, biking, rock collecting, and time in the garden. Family trips and local outings give those interests a place in everyday life.
Food and home
Cooking, trying recipes, gardening, and hands-on projects around the house. I enjoy the process as much as the finished result.
History and travel
Family records and visits to historical places are ways to connect individual stories with a wider setting. Preserving Walter Gates’s diary is one of my personal projects.
Reading
Books I’ve read, my comments on them, and links to buy signed copies. Browse Books I’ve Read on Schweickart Media.
Technology and games
I use technology for both practical projects and entertainment. Games I play include Rocket League, EA Sports FC, and PlayStation titles. I am also interested in how different devices and services fit the way people actually use them.
