Industrial storage installations

Industrial storage layouts, distribution-center installations, engineered proposals, and support for dealer sales teams.

Project context

My industrial storage experience began with installation work during college and developed into project management and regional sales at Borroughs. I worked with the physical installation, the engineered proposal, and the distributors responsible for serving the customer.

Installation coordination

As a project manager, I coordinated installation resources, local contacts, permitting, schedules, and progress meetings. The work required attention to how materials, people, and installation activity would come together at the facility.

Layouts and engineered proposals

In regional sales for New York and New Jersey, I worked on storage layouts and engineered proposals, translating customer requirements into configurations, parts lists, pricing, and fulfillment. Installation experience helped me consider the practical requirements behind the proposal.

Distributor development

I managed, trained, and supported distributors. That involved helping their teams understand the product and application, explain the proposed system, and prepare an offer that could be delivered.

Professional contribution

Installation knowledge informed the sales process, with more attention to the customer’s workflow and the practical requirements of delivery.

Selected projects and applications

Amazon distribution centers

I was project manager on multiple Amazon distribution-center installations, including a facility in Richmond, Virginia. This work formed part of my transition from installation experience into responsibility for coordinating larger projects.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

My Borroughs work included a project at The Metropolitan Museum of Art during my time serving the New York and New Jersey region. It was part of the institutional storage work in that role.

Other storage applications

My work also included library storage, automotive-dealership parts departments, and workbenches for a New York State Police garage. These settings required different layouts and access needs within the same broader storage and workspace product category.

Other recorded applications include libraries and automotive parts departments. Individual dealer and installer names are not identified in the reviewed records. Names and logos identify the organizations involved and their historical roles.
